Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2010, when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano scream, and an aptitude to write songs that are emotional with uplifting lyrics. Similar to her peers Kate Bush or Imogen, she's on the cutting edge of contemporary mainstream pop as well as the artful independent music. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a contract.
